What is a Nurse practitioner?

A Nurse practitioner ( NP) is a Registered Nurse who has Completed both advanced university training study at a Master Degree Level and has extensive clinical training to expand upon the traditional role of a register Nurse. They can use their extended skills and Knowledge in assessing planning, prescribing medication, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests for patients

What is Auscripts ?

Auscript is an Online Telehealth service available to Australian residents with a Medicare card only that can provide. That can provide you with medication scripts you require on tele health over the phone consultation to assist you in your Health Matters


We are registered through the Australian Governments, Australian Digital Health Agency. And ASIC
Who Runs Auscripts?

Auscript is run by Nurse Practitioners who have qualified in Australia with many years’ experience in acute and chronic health conditions.

What Does it cost?

Online Prescriptions from $15
Medical Certificates for $15
Blood Test Referrals for $15
Specialist Referrals for $15
Telehealth Consultations from $39
There is no charge for Prescriptions, Medical certificates or other referrals if combined through a telehealth consultation.

Multiple blood tests on the one form are charged the one fee of $15.
When are you open?

We operate for 730am  till 10 pm WST. Orders placed out side these times will not be actioned. They will wait till the next opening day/time. 

Do I need a Medicare card to access Auscript services?

All requests on our site require A Medicare cared number that is not expired. Generally we also need a IHI (Individual Health Identifier).Usually, if you have a Medicare card number then you will have an IHI, but it is possible to have a IHI without a Medicare card.

How does it work once my prescription is approved?

When your prescription is approved, a QR code will be sent to your mobile phone VIA SMS and email that you can take to any pharmacy for dispensing of your medication.

Can I Get a medical certificate at Auscripts?

Yes, a Nurse Practitioner can issue you with a Medical Certificate if deemed suitable. The medical certificate will be emailed to you within minutes of the Nurse Practitioner reviewing your digital consultation.
For medical certificates required for more than 1 day, patients must consult with a doctor through a Telehealth Consultation

Can I book and appointment online?

Whist we do not do booking by time slots we will ring you back, Usually within 15 min to help you with your health concern. However during peak times it may take up to an hour to ring you back. The number  we call back on may be private.

How will I know about my blood test result?

You result will be emailed to u in 5-7 working days. If something requires, follow up for this result you will receive further information on what to do in the same email

Who can Access Auscripts?

Anyone of any age in Australia with a Medicare card or IHI number can access Auscripts for Telehealth Consultations.
However, for online Prescriptions, Medical Certificates, Blood Tests and Specialist Referrals, you must be 18 years old or over.

What about DVA or concsseion card?

We will add Concession Cards or DVA Card into your profile.
These details will be applied to any prescriptions issued through our service and may allow for concession medication pricing at the pharmacy.

What are the medications I can Access through Auscripts?

Most Regular non complicated medications are available (Over 300) You can search for your regular medication by visiting our Online Prescription service.
Simple click on the medication link, find the medication you want then fill out the digital medical consultation form which will be reviewed by one of our Nurse practitioners.
If approved, our doctors will issue you a prescription which you can take to any pharmacy or have the medication delivered to your home.
If your medication is not listed, or states you need a phone consultation, you need to speak to nurse practitioner about your condition, you can request a Telehealth Consultation. We are always happy to discuss with you
However, the Nurse practitioner will not prescribe Schedule 8 (strong opiate, addictive or benzodiazepine medication etc) or Schedule S4R medications (Analgesic benzodiazepines etc). Please do not request an online consultation via our service if you require these medications.

Am I Guaranteed to get a script?

, Auscripts wishes to do the best for your health and upholds the highest standards of healthcare. Online Prescriptions will only be issued if deemed appropriate by the Nurse practitioner
There is a variety of reasons why we may decline to provide a prescription, such as your responses to our digital medical consultation, your medical history and more.
If you would like to speak to a Nurse practitioner about your health concerns, you can request a Telehealth Consultation and a Nurse Practitioner will decide if a prescription is appropriate to provide.

Most scrips  are SMS or emailed to you with 15 mins. However given that we are a small business and provide this service cheaper than others.. during peak times it may take up to an hour for it to be sent to you.

Can I get a repeat prescription?

while only single prescriptions are available through Online Prescriptions, you can still access repeat prescriptions through Auscripts
If you have a chronic condition, and you have discussed it with us previously through a telehealth consultation you may access repeat prescriptions in the future if approved by the Nurse practitioner
For all other conditions, you can discuss repeat prescriptions with a doctor by requesting a Telehealth Consultation.

Are medical certificates back dated?

Online Medical Certificates are only issued for the day that it is requested. Our Nurse practitioners will not backdate the date the certificate is issued.
However, A Nurse Practitioner may via a Telehealth Consultation. consider providing a certificate to cover a specified time period that you have been unwell for.

Does Auscript Medicare Bulk Bill?

Auscript is not able to provide bulk billed Telehealth Consultations. This means you cannot claim your consultation with Medicare.
However Auscripts still offers very competitive pricing for medical services that is often cheaper than other online services and out-of-pocket expense on Medicare-funded services.

What happen to the Information (data) I provide after accessing Auscripts?

We only collect patient personal information to provide a medical consultation.
Patient personal information is stored in secure cloud storage and encrypted in the database.
All data is stored in Australian data centers. Further information can be found in our Privacy Policy

What X-ray or ultrasound orders can we provide

This is a list of X-rays we can provide to you that at that almost all provider will bulk bill or Medicare rebate if there is some out of pocket expense. (This is this same through a GP) However this is cost to you is at the discretion of the provider. Check with them first.
