What is a Nurse Practitioner? A nurse practitioner (NP) is a registered nurse (RN) who has completed both advanced University study at a master’s degree level and additional extensive clinical training to expand upon the traditional role of the RN.

Through their training and expertise, NPs can autonomously perform advanced physical assessments, order various diagnostic tests (Xray, U/Sound, Pathology), interpret the results and initiate referrals to relevant healthcare providers and prescribe medication and/or other therapies as required.

Jamie (Director) graduated as a Registered Nurse in 1998 and has worked in Perth and the United Kingdom, working in a variety of senior roles in the public hospital system. Further study as seen Jamie (AHPRA- NMW0001561564) graduate as a Nurse Practitioner in 2008 enabling him to become registered and endorsed with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. With 15 years experience in metropolitan tertiary emergency departments and primary practice setting, Jamie is driven to supporting those encountering challenges and have poor access to healthcare.

He has a high focus on current best practice models and education whilst maintaining patient led care, understanding a quality team approach is often required. Away from the emergency department Jamie has a strong passion and connection to nature.

He competes regular in several sports. This allows him to recognize how commitment, focus and determination can truly achieve greater possibilities for both mind and body, all whilst having fun too!

Alison (Company Partner) (AHPRA- NMW0001638257) graduated as a RN in 2011 and in 2013 commenced working in public emergency departments where she has worked in a variety of senior roles.

In 2021 Alison graduated and began working as a Nurse Practitioner, gaining eligibility and is registered and endorsed with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. Alison has a strong interest in women’s health and those who struggle to access quality healthcare.

She is friendly, patient focused with a strong belief in continued education to provide the best practice standards for her patients. Alison currently tutors undergraduate nursing students at Notre Dame University balancing her personal and professional life with a love of swimming.
